Lovegrove’s Guide to Choosing Corporate Entertainers

Lovegrove Entertainment - Corporate Entertainment Sydney for Hire

A corporate formal event is one of the events that need utmost attention and planning. Not only because of the company big shots’ attendance, but also because it requires a good balance between the speeches and the entertainment.

In this era of short attention span, an hour worth of people saying their speeches simultaneously will bore the audience to death. You see, these types of events can be a little tricky because it needs to be organized in such a way that the event’s overall message would be felt and celebrated, without boring the guests.

Of course, entertainers should be there to provide a highlighted and memorable experience and keep the guests from looking down on their phones, but what points should an organizer consider when choosing the entertainment for corporate events? Here are a few:

1. Length – this point is less concerned about the performers, but more on the event itself. How many minutes should you allot for the performances? How many sets should the entertainers perform? The goal here is to keep the audiences from getting bored, but still focus the event on the celebration at hand. Thus, the entertainment shouldn’t be too long or too short. It should be long enough for the guests to be moved, have a good laugh and/or be engaged but also short enough to leave them wanting more.

2. Budget – We know you’ve allotted a huge chunk of the budget on the catering, or the venue, or the sound and lighting systems. But how much is your budget for the entertainment? If you want world-class performances, you can negotiate with Lovegrove Entertainment about your budget and the team will gladly accommodate you with an act that fits the price range.

3. Performances – What kind of performances do you want for your event? Do you want full song and dance numbers? Or do you want operatic or music theatre tunes to go with the formal theme? Good corporate event entertainment should be entertaining but still in line with whatever the theme may be.

4. Experience – Choose entertainers who can handle the crowd. What better way to ensure that the crowd gets the entertainment they deserve than choosing experienced entertainers? Seasoned performers have seen it all, and they know how to present their performance so that the audience gets the maximum value.

5. Quality – Among these six points, quality is the most important. It’s useless to hire cheap entertainers just to get acts that are so-so or unentertaining at all. Remember that quality corporate party entertainment can transform even the most bland programme to a fantabulous one. That’s why this should be on top of your list!

6. Feedback from Previous Clients – This point is a tiny bit connected to the fourth point, experience. To know if you’re getting your money’s worth, it pays to look into what the acts previous customers had to say about their performance. Read the testimonials and watch the promo videos!

As mentioned above, organizing a corporate event can be tricky and arduous. But remember that the key to everything is balance. And if you get all points on entertainment right, then your guests should go home with smiles on their faces and fond memories. After all balance, elegance, and quality are the keys to a successful event.
